Eddie Moran - Civic Leader Fellow

The Technology for All Initiative aims to bridge the technology gap between socio-economic classes and develop an effective and collaborative I.T. ecosystem to help foster growth from exploration to employment. The projects goal is to help support our community by exposing, educating and inspiring people to utilize technology and decrease the number of low income families that are isolated from technology as well as decreasing those who are digitally illiterate.



Clara Butler - Backpack Program at Southside

The Backpack Giveaway program helps low income families prepare their children for a successful start to the school year by providing them with the essential items necessary for the beginning of the school year. Last year, 200 backpacks were provided to the community.





Ross Haarstad - The Democracy Project - An initiative of Theatre Incognita

The Democracy Project seeks to increase the diversity of theater in the Ithaca area, specifically in regards to race and modeled in part on a successful 2010-11 pilot called the “Our Town Project" through Theatre Incognito. The anchor show will be Paula Vogel’s A Civil War Christmas, as a free family offering in December. This show requires a large multi-racial cast as well as live music of the period. This show will serve as a natural focal point for The Democracy Project.
