What is POST?

 POSTers Planting Trees

Make some of your best memories of Cornell before you even move in…Join POST for a Service Adventure You'll Never Forget!

POST IS AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY FOR 2009!  HOWEVER, WE ARE ACCEPTING ADDITIONS TO OUR WAITLIST, AND TYPICALLY WE DO HAVE SOME POSITIONS OPEN UP.  UNFORTUNATELY, FINANCIAL AID IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST, AND DO NOT NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR POST, PLEASE COMPLETE A REGISTRATION FORM AND SEND TO US TODAY!  PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ADDED ON A FIRST COME - FIRST SERVE BASIS!  THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN POST!

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to get to know your new fellow classmates and the local community while performing community-service at local organizations.  POST provides the opportunity to build new friendships and college networks (and get rid of those pre-college jitters) that center around community-service projects and fun evening activities.  Community-service has never been so much fun!

POST is led by a group of sophomore, junior and senior Leaders who all participated in POST previously and have had extensive training to guide and mentor POST participants throughout the week.  Last year's projects included: painting and light demolition work, trail maintenance, visiting with residents at area nursing homes, rural education, affordable housing, healthcare and other issue based projects.

POST begins Sunday, August 16th- five days before the required university orientation. POST is currently housed on campus at one of the North Campus Community Centers while project sites and evening activities all take place in the community.  Friday morning on August 21st you simply begin the university orientation.  The cost to participate in POST is $260 per person.  This fee covers the cost of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for 5 days, transportation (as required), project and safety supplies, scheduled activities and staffing costs.  POST wants you to attend, and for that reason, we provide financial assistance.  Simply check the box indicating this on the registration form or contact us directly to see if and for how much you qualify.  Do not send any money-all trip fees are billed to your Cornell University bursar account after POST ends.
