POST in the Community

POST team leaders and participants are housed at Boynton Middle School for the duration of the program. We have 7 teams each led by 2 leaders. Each day, teams visit a different site, providing the opportunity for diverse projects as well as an introduction to the local non-profit community.

  • POST teams are available Monday, August 17th, through Thursday, August 20th.
  • Projects need to accommodate a minimum of one team (10-11 students total) from approximately 10:00 a.m. until 2:30/3:00 p.m. with a lunch break.
  • Arrival time may differ slightly due to bus and transportation logistics. We will confirm their arrival time with you once the schedule is final.
  • POST provides the meals and transportation for our teams.
  • Sites need to provide the project, necessary project supplies, a staff site coordinator and agency welcome!

Last year teams completed service projects that included painting, light demolition work, trail maintenance, grounds work, visiting with seniors, crafting with children and a myriad of other projects.  Projects vary from year to year, but POST is up for just about anything!  We would love the opportunity to do more direct-service work with people and less with weeds so, if you have opportunities for us to interact with staff, clients, even animals, we welcome the break from the manual labor!
