Pre-Orientation Service Trip (POST) – Beginning in 1996, POST began welcoming first-year and transfer students to the Ithaca community with a pre-orientation program. POST focuses on friendships forged through small groups working together through daily community service projects and evenings spent exploring Ithaca and Tompkins County.  To date, over 1,000 students have participated in the program.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day – This event was established as a university-community partnership in 1995 to celebrate the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Hundreds of members of our diverse community gather each year to eat together, participate in workshops, sing and celebrate and most importantly to honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
